An excellent place for a pas de deux: this place was practically created for couples. All the villas have ocean views of the crashing, rolling, lovely surf below; some have private Jacuzzis overlooking the Pacific. The design is simplyÉ amazing. Mexican architect Monica Vizcarra has used all natural materials to their best advantage: giant shells serve as bathroom sinks, floors are inlaid with wood flowers, bamboo structures let in air and lightÉ The ocean is everywhere, in the views, in the décor, in the airÉ Call it immersion therapy for the soul.

You can fly Oaxaca - Huatulco with Aerotucan and enjoy the best of both worlds (colonial city and beach getaway).
You´ll Especially Love
The cocina típica by Doña Vicky and Isabel. The outdoor showers. The incredible attention to detail in the rooms, the lovely, cozy little “corners” throughout the hotel and the private oceanfront plunge pool area for two.

Wine & Dine:
Chef Leopoldo Sánchez brings an interesting Asian twist to classic Mexican dishes, courtesy of his three-year stay in Hawaii. He´s a fan of sopas mexicanas, the tasty Mexican soups that combine a little of this and a little of that into some wonderful dishes. As you read the menu, you´ll see “Pizzas or pastas” with no description and a single price point: that´s because he can create anything your taste buds desire. Chef is a fan of “slow food” and big on using local ingredientsyou can also ask for a cooking class and he´ll gladly oblige. Every Sunday morning, Casa Bichu puts on a display of cocina típica, or traditional cuisine, with fresh tortillas, sopes, gorditas, and all those hard to pronounce but easy to eat specialties made by hand from the heart.
Location:
From the Huatulco airport, drive north on highway 200 towards Puerto Escondido. Thirty minutes later you´ll come to a fork and must follow directions to Puerto Angel. When you arrive to Puerto Angel you´ll see a sign that says ´Bienvenidos a Puerto Angel´ and 50 meters after that you´ll turn off the road to your left (there´s a sign for Casa Bichu) and find the hotel at the end of this road.
