Mesón Sacristía de Capuchinas - Puebla
Simple Elegance - Detailed - Central

History whispers from the walls of the 17th-century building that is the affable Espinosa family´s second hotel in Puebla. Mesón Sacristía de Capuchinas is in a privileged location in Puebla´s historic center.

As antique dealers for four generations, the Espinosas have applied their talent to faithfully restoring what was once the former residence of an aristocratic family to a most extraordinary seven-room hotel. The worn edges of times past lend character to a contemporary palette of white, aquamarine and citrine walls, against which the display of antiques and artwork is dramatic. All rooms are spacious, with different layouts and unique furnishings from the family collection. The ensemble is unexpectedly avant-garde while respecting the historic roots of the building.

At the Mesón Sacristía de Capuchinas´ intimate 40-seat restaurant the food parallels the design — a contemporary interpretation of international classics — and is delivered in a serene room with a sleek, modern finish.

While it is an excellent sanctuary from which vacationers can explore all the city and state have to offer, the hotel also caters to the needs of business travelers, with rooms featuring writing desks, coffee makers and complimentary morning newspaper.

Mesón Sacristía de Capuchinas is a place of tranquility where service is delivered by gracious and genuine hosts.

Guest Comments
"The cooking class was wonderful! The chef was obviously gifted, competent, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and conscious of his role as motivator and time coordinator. The translator did a perfectly adequate job. The size, time length, facilities and ingredients all lent themselves to an extremely satisfying experience."

Puebla
Rich in history and colonial architecture, Puebla has become a haven for those interested in history, antiques, handicrafts and cuisine. Many of the cities finest hotels date back to the 19th century, many converted from what were once large mansions. Talavera, the colorful painted ceramic that was first introduced here by the Spanish, adorns many buildings.
