Villa Ganz is a a wonderfully restored charming mansion on one of the main boulevards leading into downtown Guadalajara, Mexico´s second largest city.
After spending the day exploring its historical downtown area, put your feet up in front of a roaring fire, grab a magazine and help yourself to complimentary chilled Chardonnay and snacks. Providing all the comforts you´re used to, and then some, is what the informally elegant Villa Ganz, just 10 minutes from Guadalajara´s historic heart, is all about.
Lovingly converting this 20th-century mansion into an intimate inn combining the best traditional features with life-simplifying amenities, the hospitable owner made each of the 10 spacious and beautifully detailed guest accommodations as unique and interesting as the people who stay here.
Check out the locally collected antiques and fine craftsmanship throughout and you´ll know why this part of Mexico is an interior decorator´s mecca. With world-class shopping, dining and cultural events at your doorstep in this exciting, high-energy city, the villa´s earthy tones, comfy common areas and fragrant, statue-studded garden are rejuvenating counterpoints.
Continental breakfast served in the courtyard or garden is included, and a well-stocked bar ensures you´ll never get thirsty. Restaurants of note are nearby, but if you´re too relaxed to bother venturing out, Villa Ganz´s chef will gladly set up an informal luncheon or candlelit dinner, which is the specialty of the house.
Consider This ... Spending a few exciting nights in Guadalajara and then heading off to one of two great choices: Puerto Vallarta and the beach or Hacienda Sepulveda, a fabulously authentic Mexican hacienda.

Guest Comments "We had a fantastic time at Villa Ganz. It is a unique hotel; in fact, we ended up extending our stay by 3 days in large part due to the hotel. The building is beautiful and well maintained and the staff was very friendly and responsive. The location was excellent as well, close to many fine restaurants. In future travels to Mexico, I will always check with Mexico Boutique Hotels first. S. O´Connell, USA. August, 2008.
"We had a truly fantastic honeymoon! The staff was upbeat and attentive, ready to help us find restaurants, transportation, local activities. We will always remember our arrival at Villa Ganz - the beautiful weather, the music from the piano, the doors and windows open to the garden, and an invitation from the owner to join the staff at a going away party lunch..." Mr. & Mrs. Hill, USA. August, 2008.
"We had an amazing time and as soon as we left we wished we were back at Villa Ganz. The customer service that you all provided was unforgettable, we cannot wait to return to be pampered some more. We felt every detail of Villa Ganz was absolutely precious, the decor and detail in design is gorgeous. The atmosphere is so relaxing and every morning and afternoon we were greeted with smiling faces and offered a beverage and snack of our choice to help us relax. What more can I say, we were completely impressed by the Villa Ganz and hope to return in the future. I cannot stop telling all of my friends and family how amazing our stay at the Villa Ganz was. Thank you so much for everything..." Mr. & Mrs. Caro, USA. July, 2008.
"...In a word, our experience at Villa Ganz was: FABULOUS! We loved everything about it! In fact, of all aspects of our vacation, it was probably the BEST. I have already told many of my friends about MEXICO BOUTIQUE HOTELS, and encouraged them to use you for future Mexican travel. I know that you´ll be the first place I check for lodging for my own travels! The tequila tour was a lot of fun. Our guide was great, and he showed us a wonderful lunch spot too... Thank you for all the special things you/Villa Ganz did for us. It was truly memorable... fabulous... amazing! B. Gerard, USA. May, 2008.
"...everything went perfectly at Villa Ganz... We loved the hotel and, especially, our room. Sally, Bernie and the rest of the staff were as nice and helpful as they could be. The surprise birthday "lunch" was delicious... the cake, champagne and the flowers when we returned to the hotel after dinner were perfect. The roses were among the most beautiful I have ever seen. There were 24 absolutely perfect roses at just the right blooming stage. They were sort of yellowish with red/pink tips... Our tour guide was Melchor Ornelas. He was a great guide and we really enjoyed his company. We also found out that he was one of the guides who assisted Samatha Brown for the Travel Channel episode, so we really had her experience all the way, from the hotel and room to the guide... Our time in Guadalajara would not have been nearly so enjoyable without your assistance. You took care of us all the way. Thank you so much and we look forward to planning future trips to Mexican Boutique Hotels in the future." R. McDaniel, USA. March, 2008.
"We had a marvelous time at both hotels. We loved the cooking class at Meson Sacristia de la Compañia. The environment at both were beautiful. However -as we have traveled so much around the world, I must say that the staff at Villa Ganz were some of the finest and well prepared people we have ever met. They went beyond what was required to make our stay outstanding. They always responded quickly to our inquiries and were extremely professional." S. Schmidth, USA. March, 2008.
"We had a delightful time. Wonderful service! The staff was very helpful and their dining and touring advice was exceptional. The villa was beautiful and luxurious. The garden dining by the fireplace was memorable... We will recommend this property to our friends. We have stayed now at two of your hotels, Xcanatun and Villa Ganz. Both are exceptional..." B. Blumberg, USA. February, 2008.
"Thank You for your E-Mail following up on our visit. You bet your life we enjoyed it. We never stayed at the hotel as much as we did at Villa Ganz. We came back just to visit and sit in the garden and relax in the peace and quiet. Every day someone would ask us if we needed anything. While in the garden it was hard to want anything; you had most everything right there... I think I know what heaven is gonna be like..." C. Ault, USA. February, 2008.
"I am the travel agent that made the reservations for Mr. Dunn. I have spoken to Mr. Dunn since his return home and I have to tell you, he could not have been more pleased with the Villa Ganz, the service he received and his entire stay. He was very complimentary and I am happy to pass along his compliments. I too appreciate all you do for my client(s) and look forward to working with you in the future. I have sent an e-mail to my fellow travel consultants and given them a positive report on the Villa Ganz as well as Mexico Boutique Hotels." V. Upchurch, USA. January, 2008.
"From the moment we arrived we felt the warmth and charm... Every detail of the place was carefully and lovingly thought out with the comfort of guests in mind. The rooms were very charming. The bed was unbelievably comfortable with very high quality bedding. The shower was also fantastic... However, the true character of the hotel came from the wonderful staff who took care of our every need... Passing through the lobby, we were always offered a drink. Who can turn down a delicious glass of white wine after a long day of shopping? Sitting out by the fire on the patio, we sipped tequila and wine before bedtime... The ambience is simply not re-creatable. It could not have been more romantic and relaxing... One of the definite highlights of the trip was our in-room massage... I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after the massage, we couldn´t leave without having another one... the price was extremely reasonable, and she even went over time to give us her best treatment. The hotel location is in a charming residential area, close enough to the sights, but just far enough removed that you don´t feel like you´re in the center of a large city. On Sundays they close down Avenida Vallarta for walking and biking. We cruised all the way down to the Expiatorio! There are plenty of things to do near the hotel, but one should probably take a taxi to go to the center. Another highlight of the trip was our excursion to the town of Tequila. Our tour guide, Melchor, was fantastic! He was a walking encyclopedia, with a working knowledge of Guadalajara and the surrounding areas...
We had breakfast every day either in the garden or in the covered patio. The mornings that were cooler, the staff offered to make a fire in the enormous fireplace. The breakfast was excellent. We had a large selection of delicious fresh fruits as well as a basket of fresh pastries... We hope to return there very soon." P. & A. Poullos, USA. January, 2008.
"...What can I say, Villa Ganz was cielo. I feel like a different person due to my time there. I would recommend it... to anyone. The staff there were wonderful. My massage at Piedra Villa spa was also perfect and wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone..." N. Knight. USA. October, 2007.

"We had such a wonderful stay at Villa Ganz! It´s a gorgeous house and everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfasts, beautiful garden, and all of the details in our room were just stunning. We really appreciate everyone´s help finding the charreadas - that was great fun! And for our wonderful romantic dinner on the terrace. We really loved our stay and will definitely try to come back for a big shopping trip and stay again." Jen & Jeff Baxter. USA. September, 2007.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Villa Ganz. It was a peaceful refuge amidst the busy sight-seeing schedule we had arranged for ourselves. When we arrived back after a busy day, we were happy to sit on the terrace and share a small meal. The staff was wonderful and made us feel very special. We certainly will be willing to try another Mexican Boutique Hotel in the future. Thanks for helping to make our vacation very special." F. Bloom & friends. USA. July, 2007.

"I want to highly recommend the delightful, boutique hotel, Villa Ganz. We stayed there and found the setting and staff to be delightful. Sally Rangel, the owner extended herself to personally insure that we toured the area comfortably. She took several guests to a nearby flea market, advised us on shopping, assisted in making the purchases and provided an exceptional level of personal attention. Her staff was entirely gracious while adding their warm sense of humor to our exchanges. I highly recommend the Villa Ganz for anyone planning a trip to Guadalajara." J. J. Levy. USA. April, 2006
